Introducing Taut Seni. It’s a community-based artistic movement called Generasi Bermakna (meaningful generation).

This movement aims to create artistic connections to optimize the potential of young artists and arts based on Indonesia’s cultural heritage. It involves collaboration between young artists and experienced cultural practitioners, as well as partnerships within the Pentahelix ecosystem.

The goal is to establish an ecosystem that supports the evolution of art and enhances the socio-economic impact of art based on Indonesia’s cultural richness and uniqueness.

One of the supporting cultural spaces for this movement is c | artspace > connector, community, collaborator, culture, contemporary, creative, communication, collection. This building is located at This building is located at Nusa Dua Resort, ITDC Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali.

History & Building Location

The art building stands as a result of the collaborative efforts of BEKRAF (the grant provider), event organizers, and the Taut Seni Foundation (YTS) in 2018. It has been operational with various activities from 2018 to 2020. The building has been granted to Taut Seni Foundation during the IMF Annual Meeting 2018

After the subsiding of the pandemic, in 2022, as a grant recipient, YTS supported the reactivation of the building, including legal aspects, renovation, electrical systems, human resources, coordination, and other necessary measures to ensure the building functions in accordance with the terms of the grant. This reactivation was particularly aimed at supporting the G20 activities.

The Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF) has legally granted this building to Taut Seni Foundation – No. 238/PKS/PPK- DIV/BEKRAF/VII/2018. No. 22/YTS/AB/VII/2018.

Post-Reactivation

After the initial renovation phase, the building now meets the standards to support the following local, national, and global activities:

  • Adexco exhibition for 7th Session of Global Platform Disaster Risk Reduction (GPDRR) – UNESCO. Ministry of Industry and The National Agency for Disaster Management. May 23, 2022 – May 28, 2022. Attended by President Joko Widodo.
  • Vespa Museum. International Vespa World Days Bali 2022. June 9-12, 2022.
  • “cerita wastra cerita karya” event by Dekranas, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, WhatsApp, and Women’s Resilience Foundation. Attended by the Chairwoman of Dekranas, Mrs. Hj. Wury Ma’ruf Amin. September 8, 2022..
  • Electric Car Design Exhibition with Sustainable Archipelago event design. G20 Side Event, SME’s Future Village. Ministry of Transportation Indonesia. November November 11-16, 2022
  • Spice and Rice Festival. G20 Side Event, SME’s Future Village. Collaboration between Taut Seni Foundation and Negeri Rempah Foundation. November 11-16, 2022.

After the G20 event until May 2023, the building underwent comprehensive renovation.
